India Australia test happen at a very wrong time for me. When its day time in India, its night time here and barring weekends, its very difficult to catch up the live action on the field by being up the whole night.

India caught up with the Australia in the 2nd session to choke Australia at a scoreline of 5/224 which did not look a possibility at 2/179.  Ojha and Harbhajan did the best — choke runs without taking wickets and that helped Zaheer Khan to strike with the old ball.

Thats where the utility of Zaheer Khan is. He is a superb exponent with the old ball and he should fancy 5-for tomorrow.

Watson and Ponting threatened to run away with the match in the first 2 sessions and onyl a gem from Raina saved India from usual day one starting troubles.

5/224 is an unusual scoreline for Australia..Perhaps an indicatot of the decline in Australian fortunes off late.

Getting Wastson and Paine early would be the key tomorrow.

300-325 should be the score India looking forward to wrap up Australia in 1st innings.

Shane Watson gets Indian ad deals

2 90s, a hundred , a 6 and antics in the ongoing Aussie summer in addition to 3 ODI hundreds this summer is ensuring that Shane Kid Watson enters the big fire ring of Indian advertising riding on huge cash deals.  Not to mention the upgraded Rajasthan Royals IPL contract for the lanky kiddo Australian allrounder.

He joins the elite company of Bret Lee to get mouth watering deals in Indian consumer market.

What this means is next time Australia tours India and if there is a  repeat of  famous TMK episode with Watto, the public woukd know who this Monkey is. Err who is being said TMK. Geeeeeeee

This Australian summer is like Indian summer of England 2007 until Oval Test when Anil scored his maiden hundred.

No Australian has scored a 100 this summer.

This is proving out to be end of summer for Pakistan even before it started for them. Just like 2003-04 Gabba for India.  2/262 on day 1 and  then all out for 326 on day 2. Zaheer.

Well this is Pakistan and they are T20 champs.  Test Cricket isnt their forte.

Not good omens for Pakistan.

Actually this sets stage for lop sided contest unless drug addict or Aamer Khan (3 Idiots hang over) pluck some wikats out of blue or green.

More strong Kat and kid go, more the chances for Hughsy go dim.

Pakistan vs Australia : Preview

Pakistan play their first Test in Australia in 5 years. There are very little hopes that they would do any justice to their fans’ expectations of doing good. A 3-0 result for Australia still looks a possibility.

I am keen to watch the repeat of 2008 Sydney with Pakistan or even for that matter Perth 2009. Want to see how Pakies react to the umpiring blunders and Ricky Ponting’s pressurising tactics.

And if Pakistan escape a 0-3 result then would Yusuf still thank heavens, that remains to be seen.

How fragile Pakistani openers perform against Sid, Mitch and Doggie? How selfish would Yousuf / Yusuf be ? How would Umar Bugsy Akamal be playing here ? And how would Danya Danya perform in Sydney and MCG ?

Cmon a repeat of 2008 should happen with Pakistan. Would pep them up and they would show us their spirits of 90s. This Pakistanis are too soft, at least on the field. Lol.

They believe Australia are beatable. They could not beat Australia in 1999 and 2002 when Ws and Akhtar were around. They could not beat them through 2004-05. So a chance to beat them with Aamer, Drug Peddler, Sami ICL are feeble.

15 years for a Test win against the Aussies for Pakistan. 10 years for Sri Lanka.  BD have never won. India ? Too many wins against them in 15 years :P.

Pakistan vs Australia would be interesting. If not Sydney then at least half a repeat of Dennis Lillie vs JAved Miandad should happen.  Yusuf would run behind Watson ? Lol. Yusuf would get a life ban. ROTFL. Watto would escape with 15% match fees.

Australia win the CT

Australia won. Great stuff.

Lack of competition.

Good teams lost before they could challenge Australia.

They defended their title with pretty ease.

Shane Watson scored back to back hundreds. Good for him that he has went uninjured for long time now.

They next go to India. Yes in India to lose the series 2-4 or 2-5.

Playing against each other

So England did win their battle against the Aussies by 9 wkts.

Wait. They did not. They lost.

Ponting and Watson scored hundreds to end the English fairy tale.  So Aussies will now defend their title successfully.

Bad omens as now they would be confident coming to the Indian land and my predictions would now drop from 5-2 India to 4-3 India.

And then Ausssies take on weak teams of WI and then Pakistan in the home series and India then take on Sri Lanka. Lol.

Tough task for them to win even a single Test all this years in the country.  How many ? 27 years. 6 tours and no win. 6 Test tours.

3 tests and 5 ODIs and then India take on the Africans. Till then its no exciting series scheduled.

Australia have not lost to Pakistan in a Test match in 15 years. Can you believe ? Even with 2 Ws, the genuine fast bowlers Pakistan couldnt win a single Test against them after 1994, so now imagine if they could win with the help of an Aamer, Gul and Asif. 

3-0 losses in 2002 and 2005 series. Not to forget 1999.

Can Pakistanis break the jinx down under ? Well, only 2 teams have played well down under in the last 15 years. Its India in 2004 and 2007 and then South Africa in 2008-09.

Amongst 5 or 6 good test teams – -Australia, India, SA, Pak, England hardly any team has had a horrible mismatch like this.

Sri Lanka are yet to beat Australia in Australia, India in India and South Africa in South Africa in a single Test.  Germain. That, the f is your team. Lol.  Till then lets forget to bother them being a decent test side.

For now its Pakistan Vs New Zealand in the 2nd semi final .

The irony is that whenever in a ICC event after 1992 Pak have played NZ and won , they have lost to Australia in the final.

They beat NZ in 1992 thanks to their last great batsman  Inzy, and won against England in the final.  England there after could never reach the final, let go of a super 6 or 8 untill 2007.

Lot of stats.  Pak would be back to their extremes tomorrow and the luck is now to be in their favor, so they would play good.  Bad (WI), Good (Ind), Bad (Aus) and now good (NZ) and then bad (Aus).

Pakistani Chuck plays on

The new chuck, the Pakistani one is bowling in the 3rd ham game in Abu Dhabi despite being called for illegal action. Why ? Now 2 bowlers with illegal action in the Pakistan team : Ajmal kasab and Shoaib Bear Hug Akhtar. I laughed my heart out when i read in cricinfo.com that Ajmal thought Watson sparked the process of him getting called for illegal bowling. How insane. Is he 3 yr old kid or 31 year old kid? I am sure even if Watson wud have kicked start the process, the umpire duo of Pakistan are mindless duds to accept blindly what Watson has to say ?

I think Pakistan needs to be set right here. Somebody got to sit with the mindless duo of PCB and warn them up left right and center to stop this bullshitting and fuckin crying foul. Pakistan has them all – Talibanis, Illegal bowlers, crying babies who are 50+ year old and of course Javed Miandad who feels that security in all 4 countries hosting WC 11 is whore. Ever since the country was carved out in 1947 it has been crying foul on Indians. Politically, physically, sportily and in almost every almost aspect.

Soulberry has written an excellent article on moaning and cribbing of Inti Alam on Ajam reporting.. Akram Ajam if in terms of IPL fake blogger. I would suggest some ICC boss sit with PCB and warn them stringently on this self pity crying.
