Colonial English!!

with one comment

“This morning, despite not having score a Test hundred for 20 innings, Ganguly prepares to take his place against Australia alongside Dravid, Tendulkar and VVS
Laxman in a middle order that has remained unchanged for a decade”

Michael Atherton squibs at Ganguly. The favorite whipping boy in international cricket. Isnt it ? Anybody likes of Athers who was a big bore to watch and was a bunny for McGrath, Walsh and Ambrose debates Ganguly’s place in Indian middle order — the only middle order which hasnt changed this decade.

And it baffles me to read the repeated use of “wealthy” , “icons”, “greats” used by English authors while talking of Indian batsmen. Jealousy ? England for sure are obsessed with India and a bit pissed to have lost the power of cricket to the country they ruled once…..Colonial mentality has still to be evaporated from English minds. Did they forget that its been 12 years since England last won a Test series against India home and away ?

And doesnt KP and freddie wish to play in IPL which ECB scoffs @ ?
